Logging Domain Logons

I'm having trouble locating the Object and counter in
Performance monitor which will allow me to track how many
authentications my domain controller is processing. What
counters should I be looking for.

Check out the NTDS object. There are several counters
which will provide relevant data relating to the KDC and
Kerberos etc etc.
