After I disconnect from remote access and after I close a
screen saver, I am required to log in again. How can I
set Windows so it doesn't log off at these two times?

Any time you connect to a remote machine, you will be required to log on.

For your local machine, right click the Desktop, select Properties, Screen Saver and uncheck the box On resume................

Thanks! That took care of the screen saver problem.
