Hi, I am running WindowsXp Home. There are no accounts as such on the
computer, its all open to anybody, why? Because there is only me on it.

I have the Power Properties all set to "never" no screensaver etc. In other
words it should never change from when a walk away from it. BUT when I come
back to it after 15 mins or so the log on screen is showing and I have to
click the name showing, it then will immediately flash up to where it was
left, No problem but I don't want it to do this. I think this has only
happened since I had to install Microsoft net so I could install and run
powerquest drive image.

Any ideas how to get rid of the log on screen please.

Check your screen saver setting, there should be a button that says
something along the liens of "return to welcome screen", it should be
next to the screen saver timeout counter box. Uncheck that and it will
go straight to your login. Or you can just disable screen saver
completely.

Thanks a lot Andy, There are so many little things to remember to do with Xp
that I forget. Is it old age I hear you ask, YES. :-)
