I am using XP Pro where the computer is shared by several users who log on
as either administrators or users. How do we increase the automatic logout
time where there is no activity?

Right click the Desktop, select Properties, Screen Saver and adjust the screen saver timeout.

Thanks Doug

A simple answer to what I thought was compex as we have just started using
password logon procedures.

Right click the Desktop, select Properties, Screen Saver and adjust the
screen saver timeout.

Dear Dougs (pleural it seems)

There is another similar thread running under the heading of "auto log off"
that I have just joined and posted the response pasted below. Any
suggestions? Thanks.

I have the same problem, but it has not started after adding another user -
it has just started out of the blue!

I see a suggestion elsewhere in this newsgroup from 25th May 2005 under the
heading of "log-off time out" as follows:

"Right click the Desktop, select Properties, Screen Saver and adjust the
screen saver timeout." by Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows Media Center\Windows
Powered Smart Display\Security Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes
http://www.dougknox.com

However, I don't have a screen saver enabled, so I can't use this one to
stop my auto log off from happening, which is what I want to achieve.

Anyone else with suggestions?

I am currently running Windows XP and I am having a problem. I keep getting
logged off after a few minutes of use. This is something that has started
recently after I added more "users" to my computer. How can I adjust the
time interval for this auto log off or stop it completely?
