Hello, last night i was intending on changing the users i have setup in my
database. i created a cpl new admin users and update users, then deleted the
account i had been using to logon and administer the db. now however when i
try to open the db i get the message "you do not the the necesary permissions
to use the "XXX" object, have the system admin or person who created this
object establish the necessary permissions..."
i believe the account i deletd was the one used to create it. i'ev been
working on this for a few months now and will shoot myself if i have to
create it from scratch... any ideas on how to fix this are GREATLY
appreciated!

Because most people do not properly secure their databases, the first
suggestion I would make is to join the default workgroup file (secure.mdw)
and try opening the file with that. Very very often, people do not properly
secure the file, and discover that when someone tries to open the file on a
brand new computer using the default workgroup.

Another option is to recreate the user that you deleted. Hopefully you
wrote down the PID as instructed when you first created it.

You could try to create a user and assign it to the Admins group. If that
does not work, assign it to the Users group.

Another option is to create a new database and try to import the objects.

If all else fails, you can find services and applications online that will
allow you to "crack" into it. These all include charges for the service.

As discussed often, User-Level Security helps keep honest people honest, but
is very weak as far as security goes. There's nothing wrong with that, it
just was not created for secure applications.
