locked in safemode without being able to log in

I have a company laptop running xp pro. I booted on safemode to remove some files that I could not in normal mode from an application that I uninstalled. Problem is that I used msconfig to do this and now I can not log in with my regular computer account. I do not have the administrator account so I am locked out. I tried to use F8 to choose boor in normal mode but the tool seems to have modified the boot ini file and "that is" its new normal mode. Anyone can help on what I can do to get to a normal boot?
I have another machine running xp pro...just in case I could use a tool there

Try this.
reboot hit f8 twice.
Restore computer to last know good configuration

Otherwise you have to call the person who is the administrator and get
the password.

I have exactly the same problem, went to MSconfig, set it up to boot in safemode, and then when it did reboot in safemode, I carn't log in using my usual password. But here is the kicker, the administrator carn't log in using his password either!!!!. Are there any idea's about how to get it back out of safe mode ? Using F8 adn trying all the available confierations like reboot with ntework dont wrok either

To get it out of safe mode, go to msconfig,
boot.ini tab and uncheck 'safemode.'
