Hi,
I am trying to produce a brochure template for many users in Word (both 2000
and 2003) I have 2 separate columns with text in them. Is there any way that
I can lock the columns within the page so that they can not be adjusted but
all the text within them can be edited at will?
Cheers
Lenny

It depends on what you need to allow the user to do, otherwise. You an insert
a form field, and protect the document (or this section, at least) as a form.
The user can type text, but that's about all they'd be allowed to do. With the
help of some macros, they could also do some basic formatting.

In Word 2003, only, you can select ranges of text and free those for editing,
while disabling other areas. Using this, what you want might be possible.
