lock text box in place?

Text boxes and pictures keep moving. Can't lock them as I did with the olf
frames in Windows 98
 
This is a newsgroup about Word, not Windows, so "frames in Windows 98" is
meaningless. Regardless of what version of Word you have (which you do not
state), you can still use frames. Find an Insert Frame button on the Forms
toolbar in Word 97-2003, or you can restore Frame to the Insert menu in any
of those versions, but note that in Word 97, it's displayed in Tools |
Customize | Insert as "Horizontal."
