I use remote desktop to connect to our other office. Both machine use XP
pro. The remote machine is occasionally used by others and I can't avoid
this. When they log in, I get kicked out of my remote session. Is there a
way of locking them out while I'm connected?

thanks,
Fred

Are you a administrators of your remote machine?

Then the only people who can unlock/log you off are other administrators.
Is everyone administrators on this machine? If so, there in-lies your true
problem.. Too many admins. =)

You can try using group policy:
gpedit.msc->ComputerConfiguration->AdministrativeTemplates->TerminalServices
->Deny logoff an administrator logged to the console session.
Beware though, if you set this setting, and if other already logged on, then
you cannot log on, unless you either disconnect or log them off first, as
you have multiple administrator on your machines.
To disconnect remotely, you can use tsdiscon.exe command line
To logoff remotely, you can use logoff.exe command line
