I need to construct a support document for a relative who is mentally ill,
and in this document I need to insert the two icons for Windows Messenger
not signed-in and signed-in. (I'm giving him simplified instructions on how
to ask for remote assistance). Where do these icons reside so that I can
copy and paste into the document? Thanks!

The icons are part of the Windows Messenger resource DLL. You would have to
extract them, save them as a picture file and then place them in the
document.

You can also just Ctrl+Print Screen the desktop, bring up mspaint, copy what
you need, and create a new picture file.

DO this when signed in, not signed in.
