You don't want to (or can't) edit the password file, but it's call'd
SAM and located in WINDOWS\system32\config

Thanks, but I don't think that file is the one I'm looking for. I've tried
searching in the Microsoft knowledge base and can't seem to figure out what
question to ask to get the info I want.

Maybe it's an autosave file? When you log on to a web site and put in a
password or log on name, a little window pops up and asks you if you want to
save that information. It saves such things as email address also. My
grand-daughter saved all her information on my computer (she didn't click on
don't save) so now I have a whole string of stuff to go through to select my
information from a drop down box ... I just want to delete all her
information.

I'm sure there is a way to do that ... I just don't know what to call the
proceedure. Sorry to be so dumb.

Cookies, are what your after. Depending upon what your using is where
they are located.

But for IE, Control panel / Internet Properties - click on Delete
Cookies.

Do a search for Cookie as each profile seems to store cookies for IE
enter each directory and delete everything.

I use Opera and are located at Program Files\Opera\profile
and you would just delete the cookies4.dat file.

Yes, that is what I'm looking for. I was just hoping that I could edit the
list (or the file) to only remove the entries I wanted, but alas, it seems
that I must delete it all and start over.
Thanks for the info ...
