Hi,

I have WinXP Home and Outlook Express 6. I recently had
to re-install Windows which left all my directory
structures and data intact.

However, my Outlook Express data seems to have been
wiped, along with my address book, which stupidly I
forgot to backup.

I created a different user account when reinstalling XP.
I thought my outlook data would all still be intact
under "docs and settings" but I can't find it.

Does anyone know the path to the data files for Outlook
Express on Win XP?

Thanks

Wrong newsgroup. You are asking about Outlook *EXPRESS*. That's not
Outlook! Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer. Outlook is a
*different* product in the Office family of products.

Use Explorer to find dbx files (search for *.dbx). there should be one
named inbox, outbox, sent items, etc. There should be 2 sets - onwe current
and one old - hopefully. Look for the dbx files that are dated BEFORE you
recovered your system. Those should be your old files. I think that you
can, then, do an import to get them to you current folders.
Do a google search on Outlook Express. There are some very good sites out
there that will give you step by step instructions on this one.
Good luck.
Jim
