Hi,

I am new to WinXP Pro.

I made the dumb mistake of moving several folders of the variety
$NtUninstallKB821253$ to another partition to make more room on my C drive.
Now I can't recall where they came from.

Can someone tell me the correct directory where these files should be?

Thanks,

Bob

Those folders are the "uninstall" information for Windows Updates. If the
particular Updates are working correctly then you can delete those folders
anyway.

Thanks Gordon,

Well, I must have moved something that I should not have. When I try to open
any OfficeXP program (Word, Excel, etc.) it does not recognize me and wants
to install components. When I cancel the operation it says "Excel has not
been installed for the current user". I am the only user and am logged in as
the Administrator.

Do you have any idea of what file I may have removed by mistake?

Thanks,

Bob
