I think I'm in the right place, this was the closest I
could find anyway. Somehow aaages ago I turned on this
thing so that when you press either of the CTRL buttons
it puts a load of white rings around the location of your
mouse pointer. At the time I thought 'wow that'd be
good' but it shows if you use ctrl when playing a game
and makes it judder which is incredibly annoying. And
now, can I turn it off? Not a chance. I can't find
anything relating to it anywhere! I've done endless
searches, all of which have proved useless.
Does anyone have any idea how I might turn this off???
Jess.

Well, in my mouse driver (Intellipoint 5.0),
1) Open Control Panel
2) Make sure Control Panel is set to the Classic View
3) Click (or double-click, depending on how your desktop is set up) on the
"Mouse" icon
4) Click on the "Pointer Options" tab
5) Under the "Visibility" section, make sure "Show Location of pointer when
I press the CTRL key" is unchecked.
6) Click on "Ok"

Hmm, I don't have that option. I have a Logitech
trackball and Windows XP. Thanks for the idea anyway,
it's something I'd not tried which is always welcome!
