I have seen a number of references in articles about Win XP Home to Local Security Settings. All of them basically say to go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Local Security Settings. However, when I get to Administrative Tools, Local Security Settings is not an option that I have. I am using XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 1. Where did they hide it?

I could be wrong, but I think that's an xp pro only option.

Hi Clark,

WinXP Home does not have the Local Security policy editor (secpol.msc), that
is only in a Pro system. What are you trying to do?

Hi Rick,

I have turned auditing on for a couple of registry keys. However, I'm not
seeing anything in the Event Viewer.

Hi Clark,

Auditing is not supported on XP Home systems.
