right, i didn't quite word the question properly...when i was asking the question i wasnt sure myself what i need. now that i looked at the options i realize i need more of a corporate tool than desktop application...yahoo, copernic & microsoft don't manage the datavolume wel enough...AbsoluteKevster said:Sounds like you could benefit from a Desktop Search Application.

I use the Copernic version, and can't fault it.![]()
I've seen the Google version and it's also fab.
You may need to set up mapped drives to Index network locations, but let's cross those bridges when we get there...
