local area connection

my local area connection is sayin:network cable unplugged and it's
firewalled.i am really confused and dont knw wat 2 do,i dont knw if its
really serious or not and i wanted 2 knw how 2 fix it in simple terms,cause i
haven't had the internet 4 long and i dont understand much things.thanks in
advance 2 the ppl that actually get me on this ques

Is the network cable plugged in at both ends?
