local admin priv error?

Hi I am trying to load a software in win xp but it is saying to make sure I
have local system admin privileges, this never happened before, how can this
be fixed ?

Log on as administrator, then install the software.

You log off, then you press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice in succession.
You can now log on as "Administrator", using the password
that was set when Windows was first installed. Many people
leave it as a blank.

I did that but no administrator prompt came up

You get a screen with two input fields. On prompts you
for the Account name. In there you type Administrator.
The other prompts you for the password. In there you
type the password for the Administrator account.

Ahh you meant log off...wait for the page to come up.. *then* do ctrl alt
delete twice, I did it almost simultaneously when I clicked log off. Ok I
did that; had to search for the application because it was not on this (the
admins) desktop, and the same error comes up...*Please make sure you have
local system administrator privileges for this system...*

I suggest you ask the software suppliers what's going on.
They might already be aware of the problem.
