I had my computer hit by lighting, and got around to getting a mb
replacement, and cpu. Tryed to load xp last nite and had to call them to get
a new code to put in even though I had only loaded it once before. Ok got it
loaded, and the hard drives crashed on about the sixed reboot or so, I made
a trip to comp usa and bought two more. Now what type of problem am I going
to run into trying to load this again, with ms? The hard drives I replaced
are the same as the ones that crapped out.
This is a oem version of win.xp pro that I am useing. They made me feel so
bad last nite getting a new code from them, I almost hate to call them again.
Kind of make me feel like I was trying to cheat them out of something....

Used to be you could change out 3 things (CPU counts as 2) items
before having to reactivate; there are exceptions, but 2 hard drives
shouldn't be a problem

You will have to grovel again. If the rep gives you trouble ask for a
different rep or a supervisor but *be polite*. And do explain exactly
what happened. Otherwise run something else until 120 days have past and
who knows you may come to like that something else!

Don't ya just love it!
