I loaded the French Dictionary to spellcheck my documents when I type in
French. Now I find when I want to add a new contact under Outlook I find
that when I go to enter the telephone numbers they are not in the correct
format.?

Any ideas how to keep the French Dictionary but ahve the contacts revert
back to my english format.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?RGVi?=,

Which version of Office? Can you please describe which steps you used to
"load the French dictionary"? That might give us some idea where things went
weird.

Right off-hand, though, I'd say check in the Windows Control Panel/Regional
and Language settings, Languages/Details, what's set as the default input
language. If this is French, select a ENGLISH entry in the dropdown list and
see if that helps (after you close and restart Outlook).

If that helps, but now you appear to lose French when working in Word, go to
the Tips section on my website and read the article about language
formatting in Word. After you have that background, if you still have
questions about how to work efficiently, reply back :-)
