Hi,

I am running XP home edition. I have three user accounts
set up. When you log in the administrator it works
fine. If you log in using either of the other two
accounts when the desktop appears it displays the error
message:

LoadLibrary() Failed

Can anyone tell me what this means or how to fix it
please?

Many Thanks
Stu

Hi,

This would indicate that there is a program that is trying to launch when
the profile is launched and that program cannot find a dll file necessary
to run the program.

You need to determine what program is trying to run either via the startup
group or the registry.

Hi,

Many thanks for your info so far. I have had a look at
the startup programs after reading your advice. Logged
on as the Administrator i find: There is one startup
folder contained in Programs>startup. In this folder
there is just the file desktop.ini In the other two user
accounts i find the folder startup in
startmenu>programs>startup. In both of these folders
there are no files. I have tried copying the
administrator desktop.ini into these folders but i still
get the same problem. Can you offer any further advice
please? I am happy to try the registry option although
you would have to offer me some further advice regarding
this. If you can help further i would be very
apppreciative.

Regards Stuart
