Load Hive is grayed out in XP Pro (SP2 loaded)

I suspect there is a policy in place that is preventing the option from
being available. I am not part of a domain. I have a local LAN with
workgroup only.

I assume you're talking about Regedit.

You must have "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" or "HKEY_USERS" selected first.
