No. But the next time you boot it will offer safe mode and go there if you don't choose normal mode in 30 secs.

So you are saying that I cant load xp through safe Mode?

Your grammar is very poor. You asked how to log on to safe mode 1/2 way through a boot. You can't. Press F8 to get a boot menu before XP starts booting but after the BIOS has booted.

Sorry I am running WinMe and trying to install XP, but just wont let me
install can I install from safe mode as there may be to much disk activity??

Say what you are doing (upgrading? new install?), say what happens (error messages or at what point does it hang). Safe mode in ME or XP?

You can boot from CD, install from ME, install from a ME boot floppy. But probably you need to remove as much hardware as possible (eg can't remove keyboard cause you need to use it) then install it and connect the hardware after installing

I am running WinMe and trying to install XP 2002 SP1 , I not sure whether
its a upgrade or a complete XP, but when I get to analyzing my components
after a while it just seems to stall but the hard drive and still spinning
and the lights are flashing on the hard drive, and says (81 Minutes left)
