LN5 to LN6 Emailing

I have a number Access (2002) DBs that are set up to email
reports in a .snp format. This works seamlessly (for over
2 years) with our Lotus Notes 5, but does not work with
Lotus Notes 6. Our IT Dept says that this is an Access
problem not a Lotus Notes problem.

Instead of emailing a .snp file it sends a nonsense .xls
file.

If anyone can give me a clue, I would appreciate it.
