Bought a new HP laptop. How do I get the webcam to work during an email or
whatever session with another user that has a new MAC? Do I have to buy
separate software to use the "camera"?

There is no provision in Windows Mail for a webcam.
I know Yahoo Messenger supports a webcam.

You cannot live cam in Windows Mail, but you can create a short video using
your web cam software and then attach it to an e-mail. For live web camming
there are multiple servers available on the internet, including Windows Live
Messenger which is probably on your computer already.

You need to be using Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger (these are
free) in order to have live web cam conversation, you can't do it from
within Windows Mail. Once you have downloaded the software (both PC's need
the same software) you will need to set up your audio and video via the
options menu.
