List view in Explorer

Is there a way to stop exporer from truncating file names in "list"
view?

I'm tierd of trying to figure out which file is which when they all end
in "..."!

click and hold on the separator between "name" and "size" ...drag to the
right until you can see the whole file name ...
 
Either drag the right edge of the column header (a little vertical line) by
left clicking down (and hold down on the line - pointer should change to a
cross with left right/arrows) and dragging right. Or left double click on
this line and the column should expand in width to fit the longest name.

That works for the "detail" view... The "list" view that I'm asking
about does not have the column headings...
