links to word

have a column in excel that I wish to enter text from a word. doc Can code be
written to link to open the word.doc then save the text to a given location
in excel
Not having used links befor not sure. made a link to test and it opened the
word.doc fine. Any direction would be appreciated. Without you out there
people like me would be lost.

yes, using links or not using links.

The question is, what text from Word you want to get,
and where it should be inserted in what worksheet.
