links to new windows are blank

when I click on a link to a page that opens a new window,
such as this one, the window pops up but it never loads.
the progress bar doesn't appear either. I've uninstalled
the popup stopper, and firewall, cleared temp internet
files, history, ran ad aware, and nothing worked. I tried
repairing ie6 too. i restored to ie5 and that is the only
thing that worked, that's how this posting window poped
up. so how do I get ie6 to work?
 
Hi I have had the same problem as you have been
experiencing. Fortunately I have XP and performed a
system restore to a system state before the latest MS
security updates. There is something in the updates that
seriously borks IE6
