links still appear visited(purple) after deleting everything

I'm having a problem with the visited links on my IE6.
I've deleted history, cookies, and temporary internet
fils, however some(not all) of the links I've frequently
visited in the past still appear visited, in purple color
instead of blue. What's the problem to this and how do i
fix it?

This is normal behavior. IE remembers whether you clicked to visit a page, or
typed the address into the address bar.

Typed URLs are stored separately in the Registry.
