Hello,

Windows 2000 with SP3, IE6 SP1

I have a severe problem with IE6. I believe it is a bug.
Basically after viewing a couple of web pages all links do
not work whether that is a html hyperlink or a button on a
web page. I click on it, hear the click but nothing
happens at all.

I have tried all the fixes with regsvr urlmon.dll etc as
outlined in the Knowledge base support docs.

I belive this is a bug because 1.It happend on Win 98 SE, I
then moved to Nt4 Workstation and same again, and now I am
on Windows 2000 with sp3 and the same happens again.
Removed and reinstall has no effect.

I am making this post via Netscape 7.

Also, maybe not connected but also a problem. I have
Office 2k Professional. For some reason Outlook 2000 does
not appear in the Tool/Option/Programs Email program list.
This means that I cannot set Outlook 2000 as my default
email program which in turn means that Excel will not put a
Mail To: button on it's tool bars.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ruairi Glenn

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.
