I am new to XP, with my new computer. No url's will click in my Outlook Express
If I receive a link to a web page in an email, it doesn't work. When I click on help, Microsoft
on the web, it doesn't work. None of my links in Outlook Express are clickable. I've checke
every setting I can think of and nothing works. Thanks in advance to anyone with ideas.

OE – Links out of Email

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run
2. Type the following commands in the Run dialog box, and click OK (or hit
ENTER) after each command (noting the space between the 2 and the next letter):
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 msjava.dll

Hi Linda,

Try the first two options listed and test again. From there, work your way
down.

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Set Outlook Express as default mail client - Start/Run and type in:
MSIMN.EXE /REG

Restore OE to the E-mail List in Internet Options (Row 9)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/restore_oe_client.reg

Restore Hotmail, Outlook and OE under Programs (Line 250)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Reset OE for Send To , Mail To , Send Mail (Line 64)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Restore Outlook Express as Default News Client
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\News

Check your settings here:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

/xp_u.htm#xp_util
