Hello,

we developed a main application with numerous links to little sheets. The
settings are so that if opening the main application all links are NOT
evaluated, the old values are kept. Now, we expierience that in a mixed
environment of 2000 and XP, in XP the values of the links dissapear They are
0. All Excel settings that are related with links are the same, however. The
only difference in XP is that one can be prompted not te be asked about the
link and that setting is not changed.

How is it possible that opening the same file in 2000 the links are kept and
in XP not?

The links are still there, right?

When xl2002 opens a workbook that was created in a newer version, it wants to
recalculate the workbook.

So you can either answer, Yes--update the links and see the correct values or No
and see incorect information.

One option around it is to open the workbook in xl2002, refresh the links and
save it that way. Then excel will see that workbook as created in xl2002 and
the next time, everything should(!) be ok.
