Hi,

when I click any link inside a windows live mail content pane , a error
message appears saying something like "can't find a program" .. looking like
a protocol handler messup is goin on into the registry ... any of you know
how to fix it ?

many thnX,
Paolo

What type of link? A website URL, or a MailTo email link?
Which browser is set as your default?

only http links, and nomatters what browser I do set as default , any
links(HTTP only) inside themessage when I click it arise the error,

I did set any know browser as default in order to see if was that
association wrong but seems to be something related to the protocol handling
association, others type of links like mailto just work as expected

btw .. looks like some kind of misconfiguration in the registry tha can't be
reset,
I had same kind of problems using IE+OE which only IEAK or regedit can fix

In Default Programs, click on "Associate a file type or protocol..."
When that screen finishes loading, scroll down to the bottom
where all the protocol assignments are shown.
Make sure the "HTTP URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol" is
assigned to Internet Explorer.

I tried all this, making sure that IE was assigned to everything. Thats the
only internet program I've got. And still it gives me this message:

BLOCKED::http://...
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel."
