Linking with Excel

Hi. I am linking an Excel table. One of the columns contains part numbers.
Some of these are fully numeric and some of these have letters as well.
Examples are 7201 and 7201-SN.

When these are linked, those with letters show up as #Num!. I know this has
something to do with formatting, but I cannot find an easy way to resolve
this. Any ideas?

In Access Number fields must be completely numeric. So you're going to have
to change the field from Number to Text. Hope that works.
 
This is a problem for me - I did change the field to text but access keeps
formatting it as a number.
