I have a database with a front end and a back end. I want to link the front
end to another back end, but I am having difficulty.

How do I "unlink" and relink to another database?

Use the Menu Tools / Database Utilities ... / Link Table Manager ...

Make sure you check the "Always Prompt for new location" option.

I have tried this. It will not link my databases. I have also gone to
File/get external data/link tables, etc. this does not work. I am getting
the message that the file source cannot be found - be sure that it is on the
same computer.

I had a database sent to me via email from another location. Saved it on my
computer and then attempted to link.

Did you get 2 files from the "other" location, often called "Front-End" and
"Back-End"?

Note down where you store the Back-End.

Hold down the Shift key while you are opening the Front-End.

Use Tools / Database Utilities ... / Link Table Manager ...

as per my earlier post.
