When I click on a link, I frequently will get a wrong
page...it seems to randomly select something that I had
previously viewed, sometimes even weeks ago. When I pull
up the task list and look at the processes, there will be
many (sometimes even 7 or 8) IEXPLORE.EXE processes that
show as running, even though there are NO windows open.
I've been closing them out and then when I open a new IE
window, it'll link properly for awhile, but eventually
start doing the same thing. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. the links on websites are
not functioning right and also randomly selecting... and
multiple times I get the "The URL you requested is
unavailable.." type message. I believe I got a virus in
the .../Local Settings/Temp folder taht NAV can't detect
and get rid of....I'm doing research right now....
hopefully find a solution tonight!

p.s. also the graphics on websites are frequently getting
the red 'x'.

Yes, mine is doing that too. If you find something please
let me know, it is very frustrating. I tried doing
research but was not able to find anything. THANKS!

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
