Linking to Simply Accounting Pro 2004

We would like to link our budget/financial spreadsheet in Excel directl
to Simply Accounting Pro 2004 to update the actual revenue or expens
amounts in Excel automatically. Other than employ consultants t
create or write this on our behalf, is there any books, guides, etc
that we can purchase to learn to do this ourselves.
Any advice here would be much appreciated
 
The first thing is to see what file format Simply
Accounting Pro uses to save its data. If it uses a
proprietary format you probably are out of luck. If they
use a non-proprietary format (e.g. DBF, CSV, TXT, etc.)
there are lots of options. Also, see if Accounting Pro is
capable of exporting to a non-proprietary format which can
then be read into Excel.
