Dear Experts,
I have two excel files where File B collects/summarises data from File A for
the duration of 2007. They are situated in the one folder.

I want to have the same pair of files for 2008. When I copied the two files
into a folder for 2008, renamed them to include 2008 in the name all is not
well. File B is still looking for the 2007 file:

Typical reference:
='I:\General\2008 EXAMINER SEM2\Level 1 Sem2 2008\[Level1Sem2
2007.xls]EBRS'!$C5

I can understand why it is doing it but is there a way around it. I would
love not to have to set up all the references in File B again.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

May be one way. Find and Replace
find = 2007.xls replace with =2008.xls
If the files of the two folders are same. ie 2007 and 2008
Initially have a backup

Many thanks. You saved me hours of work.
Thanks again.
