linking to an Excel spreadsheet

Hi Access Gurus,

If my A2003 database is linked to an Excel spreadsheet, is there any danger
of corruption if the spreadsheet is updated while users are logged on? Will
A2003 automatically accept the new version of the spreadsheet seamlessly and
invisibly? Is this too much to hope for?
