How can I link text to a cell reference?

Depreciation Asset - Cell D4

On Insert Menu, go to Name>Define

You can type in the name and then in the "Refers To" box, enter the
cell reference.

I have several cells, I didn't want to have to name each one.

Can you post some more examples, there is a VBA solution that would be
less tedious.
