Linking Tables across DB's

I was told to seperate my tables from my forms, queries,
etc... to make it easier to update my client.
So, I made a copy of the DB and deleted the forms etc...
from the copy and deleted the tables from the original.
When I go to 'get ext data' and try to link, no tables
show up in the copy. If I try to import from the copy, no
tables. However when I go bring up the copy from Acces,
the tables ar there.

There is really no reason that this should not work. If
the tables actually exist in one of you DBs then from the
other you should be able to link the tables from the one
with the tables. The location of the one with the tables
should also not be an issue.

Can you provide any more details?

Are you linking from the original to the copy? Or trying to link from the
copy to the original, were you deleted the tables.

The front-end (forms, queries, etc) is used to link to the database with the
original tables.
