linking shows

would like to end a show giving a viewer a list of other seprate
presentations and allow them to select one with a button push. Can it be

Yes it can. Go to Slide Show > Action buttons.

This will give you the option to select a button that you can draw on your
slide then link to any number of things - including another PPT.

With one small modification, yes.

You can add buttons to any slide in the show that hyperlink to other PPT shows.
The other shows should have End Show buttons in appropriate places. Clicking
those will return you to the main show, still open "behind" the linked shows.

You'd want to add an End Show button to the main show as well.
