What do you have to do to get these hooked?

You can't.

Get yourself a truly portable email account such as Gmail
or wait until next week for the Windows Mail replacement
to be released.

Meanwhile I suggest you learn to use Google
which will save you loads of time in future.

Have a look at this www.google.com

Will the new/new Windows mail allow this?? For what I do, I just hate the
even change addresses...Thanks for the reply though!!!

Instead of trying to "fit the system" can Outlook Express be installed on a
Vista machine? If so, how? Tried hitting MS software w/fre download of it,
but got errors. Anyone done this? Also, how do you get rid of the Yahoo and
Norton toolbars on Vista? APPRECIATE the help! Thanks

cannot install OE on vista.
uninstall the not needed bars.

so far as norton, I'd suggest uninstalling completely norton and going with a virus program that works on vista.
like avg or avast.
you will have to use the uninstaller from the norton web site to uninstall.,

Recently got Outlook loaded when I installed Office 2003. Looks like the only
missing link is being able to empty my trash/deleted messages. I have to go
online at Hotmail.com to do that. Any suggestions/advice/fixes? Any input for
getting rid of Norton, or replacements for it? THANKS AGAIN

I don't understand what your question about Outlook & Hotmail has
to do with Windows Mail?
If you really mean Outlook, did you download and install the new
Outlook Connector which makes Hotmail fully functional in Outlook?

The other option is to upgrade WM to WLM since the latter supports
Hotmail natively.

I originally was looking to link WM to my Hotmail acct. When I was told that
was a no-go, I loaded Outlook. Now I am using that. I was not aware of the
"new Outlook Connector" or "WML". Connector sounds very inviting to me. Any
advice on where I can go to get it? Thanks once again!!

Looks like I got what I wanted...almost. Even w/the connector program I can
do everything EXCEPT empty my deleted items/trash can through Outlook. Any
ideas as to how I can accomplish that w/o having to go to the Hotmail site?
Very much appreciating the help AGAIN!!!
