Linking from list

I have a workbook with several sheets.
1 Sheet "Items" has a list of items I want to link to. This list has a range
name called "Items", In the items list is "Cat. #" "Cat.Desc.", "Product
Name" as well as others.
In another sheet "Sales 1" I would like to link to all Items except any that
are in "Cat. #" 2.
And in another Sheet "Sales 2" I want to link to only "Cat #" 2 Items.
The item list is in cat # numerical order after a sort.
I do know how to make the links but do not know how to filter out the "2"
or the others.
