Linking from external application Crystal

Query. Can spreedsheets only be linked to other Office programs?
What I want to do is link a cell to our Crystal report system. Will this
only work with a microsft program or will it work with our Seagate crystal
report or not at all?

Crystal can use an Excel S/sheet for data as long as the necessary fields are
in place to create a link. Just create a new connection and select the
Access/Excel option.
