We just bought another XP system to go with the first
one. I have been successful in networking the two except
for emails. I can get emails on either computer but
cannot see an emails on #1 computer if it was downloaded
to #2 computer or vice versa. Can you tell me how to set
this part up correctly? We have office 2000, using
Outlook, and have a hub. Thanks.

Sounds like you're using POP3 email? IS this correct? One
thing you can do is select "save a copy" on the server,
this way any computer accessing the email it won't be
downloaded to their computer and removed from the server
so the other can't access it.

I'm assuming your running POP3 getting email from an ISP,
if your using exchange please let me know. Hope this
helps.

Put your PST on a network share and point the mail profile on each machine
to that shared PST. Just make sure you run Outlook on a single computer at
a time.

Yes this is correct but I must be brain dead as I can't
remember how to "save a copy" on the server. I am
assuming the main computer is the server (the 1st one
connecter to the hub) Thanks,

Although I know it is there, I can't find the ".pst"
files on the computer. Where do I look? Sorry to be
such a pain. By the way the new computer will be the
main one and I don't have email addresses in here yet but
that shouldn't make a difference. thanks for your help.

Enable showing hidden files and folders (Control Panel>Appearance and
Themes>Folder Options>View). You'll find it under your Windows user profile
(C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook)
