How can I set up an Outlook email to link to an image on a Web site? The
intention is to have an image open in an Outlook window when the opened email
connects to a graphic file on a remote server. An embedded graphic would
create an email too large to send.

I have tried several methods in Outlook using RTF, as suggested, without
success. Results have included blocked images, URL addresses without
graphics, and icons rather than graphics.

I used Dreamweaver to convert the graphic to htm. format, and added hotspots
to link to pages on a corporate Web site. The file was uploaded to the site
and checked to ensure that it opened correctly and that the hyperlinks work.

At this point, what do I need to do in Outlook to create an email that, upon
opening, displays the graphic?

Thank you.

Who suggested to use RTF format? You couldn't be further off.
Use HTML format and choose Insert-> Picture... and specify the URL of the
image.

Most DECENT email clients will block that sort of behaviour by default.

Do I need to adjust a Security setting to do this? I pasted the exact URL in
the Picture Source field, and the file does not open. The image is up on the
Web.
