good morning, group!

I have an access 2003 database located in my laptop. I have a front end and
the back end. Now I want my network users access my database using their work
stations. I was able to setup a front end to their work stations but the
problem is they cannot make a data entry. When I checked my tables (on their
work stations) the tables won't allow us to make a data entry. At the
navigation button of the table, the [>*] is grayed out. please help.

Have you created a copy of the front end on each network user's machine and
linked the tables back to your notebook? If you are on a network, I would
recommend putting the database backend on the server, but this shouldn't stop
you anyway.

Check that the users have full read/write access to the shared folder on
your notebook where the database backend is kept.

Hope this helps.

Damian.

Hi, Damian!
Thanks for the prompt reply. It's working now.
Again, a million thanks!
