When opening a spreadsheet, a dialog box appears...."This workbook
contains links from other data sources"

If you choose "update" to update links to other spreadsheets the cells
in the main speradsheet display the "#VALUE!"

We are mid-way through a Windows 2000 migration and spreadsheets may
well have been created in Office 97 & Office 2002.
Is the different versions of spreadsheets causing the problem?

It sounds like the links may not exist. Try opening one
of the files that is linked to the sheet and mae sure
everything is where the formulas are looking.

Also, do not update the links. If the data is correct in
the destination file, and you have not modified the the
sheets it is linked to, there is no reason to update the
links.

As far as compatibility issues, I do not know. Maybe
someone else can field that one.
