We are investigating and evaluting the upgrade of a large forest from w2k to w2k3, with the view to enabling FFL as soon as possible. One big win for us will be the new LVR feature

However, it has been suggested that for group membership replication to take advantage of the LVR feature, all group memberships must be 're built'. We have 250,000 groups so this is impractical for us :

Can anyone
1. Confirm the above behaviour
2. Provide a script to programmatically make the above change

TIA
Neil

No this is incorrect. The benefit of readding all users to a group is for some
of the internal AD Tables so in case you need to restore a user for instance you
will get the group memberships in that domain for that user due to the new info
stored internally.

You should get the benefits of LVR replication right away as anything added to
the group should be LVR Mode right off.
